Amreli, Oct 28 (PTI) – On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that the world is closely watching India, signaling a shift in global perspectives. Furthermore, countries are now viewing India with renewed hope, recognizing its vast potential across various sectors. This growing interest reflects a broader acknowledgment of India’s capabilities and the opportunities it presents on the international stage.
In Lathi, Amreli, Prime Minister Modi launched development projects worth ₹4,800 crore. He noted that countries at the recent BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia, are eager to partner with India on its development journey.
Opportunities for Growth
He highlighted a recent announcement by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who stated that Germany will issue 90,000 visas annually to Indians. Modi urged the youth to prepare themselves for these opportunities, emphasizing that as India develops, its global influence grows. “Countries are increasingly inquiring about investment opportunities in India,” he remarked.
After the BRICS summit, Modi welcomed Chancellor Scholz to New Delhi, where he brought a large delegation of investors. Scholz emphasized the need for Indian youth in Germany’s factories, noting their strong work ethic and peace-loving nature. Modi advised, “Now it’s your responsibility to prepare for their job requirements.”
Focus on Development in Gujarat
Modi pointed out significant investments from Spain, mentioning the Tata Aircraft Complex in Vadodara, which will produce C295 military aircraft.
This facility is expected to benefit small enterprises by supplying various products for aircraft manufacturing. He emphasized that Gujarat’s development is crucial for India’s overall growth. He highlighted a successful water transportation scheme that benefits households and farms across the state.
“All projects inaugurated today aim to improve quality of life, enhance farmers’ prosperity, and create job opportunities for the youth,” he explained. He emphasized the need for public involvement in water supply and conservation.
Linking Water and Tourism
Modi emphasized the link between water and tourism, mentioning the Bharat Mata Sarovar in Amreli, which could attract migratory birds and tourists. He mentioned the Sardar Sarovar Dam, enhanced by the Statue of Unity. This attraction drew 5 million visitors last year. He also talked about his dream project, the Lothal Maritime Heritage Complex. Its goal is to showcase this important Harappan site on the global stage.
“Port-led development reflects our commitment to a developed India,” Modi asserted.
He described ongoing infrastructure improvements for fishermen in Shiyalbet village and the modernization of Pipavav Port, which is becoming a source of pride for Amreli.
