IndiGo’s Business Class Expansion: What Travelers Need to Know

IndiGo is excited to announce the launch of its first-ever business class service, set to take off on November 14. This marks a significant milestone for the airline. It introduces a business class cabin on its aircraft. The goal is to attract a wider range of travelers.

IndiGo Airlines plans to enhance its services by introducing business class seating on select routes, starting with the Delhi-Mumbai route in early January 2025. This move aligns with IndiGo’s strategy to tap into the growing demand for domestic air travel in India.

The inaugural business class flights will operate on the popular Delhi-Mumbai route, with six daily flights scheduled. Passengers can choose from the following flight times:

From Delhi to Mumbai:

  • 7:00 AM
  • 1:00 PM
  • 7:00 PM

From Mumbai to Delhi:

  • 10:00 AM
  • 4:00 PM
  • 10:15 PM

Each flight will feature 12 business class seats, totaling 72 seats available every day across these flights.

IndiGo sets a flat fare of ₹18,018 for all business class seats. This pricing makes it a competitive option for travelers seeking comfort and convenience. The new service aims to enhance the travel experience for passengers flying between these major cities. It provides more choices and a touch of luxury in the skies.

Starting November 14, 2024, six daily flights between Delhi and Mumbai will offer business class, with 12 seats available per flight. The flat fare for these business class tickets is ₹18,018, ensuring a comfortable travel option at a competitive price.

By March 2025, IndiGo plans to expand its business class offerings. The airline will add flights from Delhi to Bengaluru and Chennai. This move will further broaden its reach within the domestic market. Over the next 14 months, the airline aims to induct 45 aircraft equipped with business class seating, covering 12 routes and operating 268 daily flights.

IndiGo currently holds about 63% of the domestic passenger traffic in India. With the introduction of business class, the airline expects to boost its market share and attract a wider customer base.

This strategic move underscores IndiGo’s commitment to enhancing passenger experience and positions the airline to capitalize on the increasing demand for air travel in the country. As the domestic air travel market continues to grow, IndiGo’s new business class service will offer travelers more options and comfort for their journeys.
